Dresses come in every imaginable color, shade and pattern, and each option says something about you, your personal style and even your mood for the day. Having a wardrobe full of dresses in many colors allows you to express what you want to say on any given day in many different ways!Colorful Dresses

Start with basic black; it’s not just the color of mourning anymore. Although the Gothic subculture has claimed black as its own, wearing it doesn’t mean you have to like vampires. Black is one of the most universal colors and a dress in black is a classic look that comes in many forms. It can be short and sexy or long and glamorous. It can be dressed up or down for a casual or more evening ready look. There is very little a black dress can’t do, including moving effortlessly from day to evening with just a change of accessories.

A red dress says a lot about you, and it says it loud and clear. Red is a color that can’t be missed, and is a sign of a woman who is confident, proud, and wants to be the center of attention. If you can’t stand to blend into a crowd, then red is always a good choice. It doesn’t have to be fire engine red either – a darker red can have the same impact and is often more flattering to certain skin tones. Red dresses don’t need much in the way of accessories to make a splash, so keep it simple and let your color choice speak for itself.

Other primary colors can have the same effect if they are in bright shades. Blue and green will stand out just as easily and are perfect dresses for a woman who wants to be noticed. A bright yellow is like a ray of sunshine and makes people who see it feel cheerful and want to smile in your direction.

Metallic dresses are a great choice for nightlife, especially for clubbing as the lights in the club will make your dress shimmer and shine, drawing all eyes to you. Silver and gold each have a slightly different message; gold is a warmer color and also has associations with wealth and power. Silver on the other hand is a cooler tone, and reminds the eye of moonlight and mystery.
